Give your Hair some Love this Summer // VOLUMINOUS & NATURAL LOOK

Hello, Hallo & Bonjour!

Happy midweek lovelies! Whether you rock straight, curly or wavy hair, no discrimination here with the summer's top hair products. It's time for some hair care to get you through the week and the rest of this summer! To keep up with the latest hair care trends, in the past few months, I've been trying out different hair care products (sprays and dry shampoos) and found some favorites! See the recommendations, review, tricks-or-tips, and where to shop these beauties.

Hair care is pretty variable and sensitive, since it depends on the type of hair you have, but from experience and research, these should be fairly universal.

Detox Dry Shampoo Spray (by DryBar): Oh my oily-hair! This is from DryBar, the famous blowout hair salon. It's a perfect solution to leave your hair oil-free, fresh and feeling refreshed. Detox is well-known for their hair care products but especially their dry shampoos dominate this niche hair category.

My Experience: Oily one likes this feeling (and if you do, please let me know why), and I especially do not. Thus, I've always been on the hunt for good dry shampoos or alternative remedies such as Johnson&Johnson baby powder. I discovered Detox while waiting in line at Sephora (y'all know those lines get real long, and you might as well test & try travel and mini products that are in the aisles). So far, I am loving it, hence sharing it with you guys. My favorite part is that there is no white powder or debris left once you spray, and of course, that it does work! It leaves your hair feeling clean and oil-free!

How-to-use & Trick-or-Tip: Recommend using this midday or in the morning if you washed your hair prior to a night or two. Buy the mini/ travel size so you can carry it around in your purse or car as an on-the-go "re-freshener."

Price range: 23.00 USD / N/A EURO

Living Proof Humidity Shield Spray: With the summer comes humidity, and that calls for a strong Shield and Anti-Frizz spray to keep our hair fresh in whatever style we worked to maintain. They have a boutique store in Antwerp, Belgium as well, where you can shop their products!

My Experience: I've never been a big anti-frizz or humidity shield spray user because I naturally have straight hair, but I've found this spray to be quite helpful during those days when I curl my hair and have small frizz all around my hair because of the high level of humidity outside. Living Proof is a great hair product brand and have been on the Allure's Best of Beauty, so definitely try it and empower your hair against that humidity!

How-to-use & Trick-or-Tip: Best use after drying your hair with a blow-dryer. Ideal for straight, curly or wavy hair. Spray 30 minutes prior to leaving your house/ apartment to make sure it sets in. Keep the small, travel size bottle (you can find it at Sephora) in your purse to spray as needed. Most likely, if you have naturally curly or wavy hair, you'll need to use a more generous portion than for those with straight hair.

Price range: 22.00 USD / N/A EURO

OUAI Texturizing Hair Spray: Helps build volume and texture for all types of hair. Great for straight and wavy hair. It's known as "part hair spray and part dry shampoo," for a casual and natural look.

My Experience: A few months back, I went to Sephora in the US and tried this hair spray called OUAI. And wow, it impressed me with how volumizing it was without all the stickiness and hardening textures.

How-to-use & Trick-or-Tip: After showering, dry your hair. Then, in parts (large parts if you have thinner hair and small parts for thicker hair), spray one or two pumps into your mid hair section and near the roots and massage lightly and buff up. Repeat across all sections of the hair for that perfect voluminous look that'll last all day.

Price range: 26.00 USD

So, give yourself a super natural flow with voluminous feel. This is great for those of you who have more slender and flat hair (like me)! Try it and let me know what you think and if there are any of your favorite hairsprays!

Aussie Mega Hair Spray: Budget-friendly, quick, on-the-go hair spray. Maintains hair style throughout the day without hardening effect.

My Experience: One of the best low-budget, easy-to-use hair sprays. I enjoy using this one for my travels because they come in the small, travel size bottles, and I don't have to worry too much about losing it and frustrating over the cost of the spray. Also, I find it convenient that most drug stores and beauty stores carry this.

How-to-use & Trick-or-Tip: Best use for dry hair. Spray in roots and mid-sections around hair with generous pumps (2-3 pumps per section if you have thin hair and 1-2 pumps if you have thicker hair). Flip your hair over and style it as you like, then you're ready to go!

Price range: $4.00-5.00 USD

Tresemme Salon Finish Level 4 & 5 Hair Sprays: Another budget-friendly, quick, on-the-go hair spray but one that's really great for styling hair after curls and waves to keep them fresh all day or night. You can find this in most drug stores and beauty shops internationally, especially in North America and western Europe. The 5 is slightly stronger and has a firmer hold, but also a harder texture but both equally are great for holding hair styles.

My Experience: I've been using Tresemme hair sprays for about 3-4 years, and this is one of my favorites from the brand.  Depending on the amount sprayed, you can really have your curls and waves all day and throughout the day. Your hair does get more natural texture and feel, so do not be upset by the initial hardening and stickiness. It does go away. I usually use my Extra hold (level 4) for day-use with my straight hair, and my Ultimate hold (level 5) for night-use with my curls and waves because my hair is very thin and slender, so it tends to need extra support to hold those curls over the hours.

How-to-use & Trick-or-Tip: Best use for dry hair. Most ideal after curling and waving your hair. Recommend to use this in mid-section and lower tips of the hair to keep the curls and waves. I couldn't find the exact links to these bottles, but you can definitely find them in Wal-Mart, Target, Walgreens, CVS and any other local beauty stores.

Price range: 4.00-5.00 EURO / 4.00-5.00 USD
